Only because I have appreciated the other 5 books in the series, and the prior 39 Clues series, and because I was invested in the series, and needed to see how it ended, did I read this. Vss lot of ridiculous things happened, and the Cahills were saved by a lot of the room stupid technology. I hated it so much. I started this series in the 7th grade and I have been reading them for 5 years now.
The next, bigger issue, is the disregard Baldacci had for the characters as they had already been created over 16 previous books. Vespers series–what can I say? It was horrible, so incredibly disappointing. Dan sees numbers and letters scratched onto the back of the compass.

This book wasn’t a complete let down. She looked down at him. And, if you’re going to kill off a vedpers character, at least make their death count! I don’t like how David Baldacci displayed him. And was it necessary? The Vespers were OK, because they were all fairly one dimensional bad guys anyway, but I was especially upset about Ham and Jonah.
