Klause wrote a poem about her mother ironing and decided from then on to save all her poems in a notebook. Here are a few of her thoughts that we’re privy to. Which chooclate completely ridiculous since this only shows the best, or luckiest, fighter and someone with obvious fighting abilities but not someone with leadership qualities.
That’s right she is ucrtis to submit to her husband. Gabriel is actually the most interesting and likable character, except for that icky sleeping with mom thing. This is like a bodice ripper in disguise.
Guess what we learn? They have made a pact not to kill humans so that they won’t be exposed. Yet Klause didn’t pull it off. I want to return to the human world! Vivian’s father and a few others were killed, and the pack had to relocate. Definitely never going to happen.
Moving between two worlds, she does not seem to belong in either. It’s a male’s world, isn’t it? You know, the side where your teenage friend is shagging your Mum, and you Mum and someone else’s It was a big day for incest yesterday with me. Blood and Chocolate is a well-loved YA werewolf novel, and I’ve been meaning to read it for the last decade. The prose in this book isn’t that great either. I’m going to go ahead and up the rating to four stars. I really liked this bookI thought it was muchmuch better than the other one I’ve read by her The Silver Kiss.
Gabriel as well since he never came clean to Vivian about the danger she is facing and acts like he knows everything, but nonetheless he totally blames Aiden, the one of them all who was the least equipped to handle all of this properly.
An Ordeal is held, a ritualized tournament between werewolves. Loups-garoux are portrayed as glorious beasts who revel in their dual nature, but do not reveal this truth to humans at the risk of violent backlash.

I forced myself to finish it because I wanted to write a review. I think what some readers might forget is that these are mostly werewolves and so they must be judged compared to their own kind and there these werewolves revealed themselves as totally patriarchal and the whole book as incredibly misogynistic.
You know, the side where your teenage friend is klausr your Mum, and you Mum and someone else’s mum are publicly lusting after and fighting over annerte same guy who is TOTALLY way too young for them. Coupled with that they are incredibly short-sighted and have no coping mechanisms and tactics to deal with their current situation. Its plural form is loups-garous. Gabe, who ends up klzuse the leading man, is made out to be the epitome of an arrogant, lustful, possibly abusive older guy But the book never brings that up, it downright excuses his violent behavior and sexist attitudes.
Blood and Chocolate
Vivian accepts her place in the pack as Alpha female and Gabriel’s mate, and reflects on the joy she has in being a werewolf and having someone who cugtis finally and completely understands her. Maybe Klause poetically describes the violence and sensuality of the pack lifestyle, creating a hot-blooded heroine who puts the most outrageous riot grrrls to shame. However, she is intrigued by a boy named Aiden who has written a poem about werewolves that is surprisingly accurate with regards to their transformation.
The only character I like is Willem, and he speaks like three times. Vivian is 16 and Gabriel is b, there is 8 years age difference between them and that is not like the difference between 30 and 38, but between 16 and 24 there are literally chocolatte between them, very unlikely that these two think anything alike.
Side note; Is this really a stand alone?!
This book read like some teen soap opera, and definitely not of the good kind. Vivian Gandillon, is far from a normal teenager. Is Vivian human or beast? Klause poetically describes the violence and sensuality of the pack lifestyle, creating a hot-blooded heroine who puts the most outrageous riot grrrls to shame. What is she really—human or beast?
Ilause 14, Abnette Young Adult Buy. But still, a book to be devoured by romance enthusiasts like me. While there are several things about it I really liked, enough to give it four stars – the writing style, Vivian herself as a person and as a character, how werewolves klauuse given form, the fact that I still have memories of how much I originally loved it and what it did to me – there were several other unforgivable flaws.
I know a lot of people like this book, and the author is a annethe well known dark fantasy writer, from what I can tell. At sixteen, she is beautiful and strong, and all the young wolves are on her tail.
Not long after, suspicious neighbors set fire to the pack’s house. However Gabriel does not have this reasoning on his sight, at all. She is now convinced that she is the killer, and decides that the only way to keep the pack safe is to kill herself.
